This rice dish is quite fast cook, if you have cooked rice ready. We suggest to be served warm rather hot. As when it warm, you can slowly enjoy the chilly tamarind flavor of the dish.

- 3-4 for tender fresh tamrind
- Dry Red Chilly
- Mustard Seeds
- Ullad Dal
- Crushed skinned Garlic
- Dry Red chilly
- Chana Dal
- Curry Patta

First we need to grind the tamarind and the dry red chilly. Once grinde keep it aside to be used later.
Take a frying pan add oil in it and heat it. Once heated add the mustard seed, Dry Red Chilly, peanuts, crushed skinned garlic, chana dal, Ulad Dal and curry patta. Now add Hing and Turmeric powder in it. Make sure you add the salt too..!
Saute the content for few minutes, till you see peanuts are half opened. Now add the grined mixture to this and mix it well. Now add the cooked rice and mix it gently for few minutes. Once you see the rice is full mixed taste the rice to check the salt, if needed add some more.
Cover the cooked rice with a lid for few minutes to be ward.
Your Tangy Tamarind Rice is ready to be served. We suggest try the dish with pakoda or salted chipps or some other fried dry dish.
