How To Make Murgh Makhani Chicken Recipe

Its one of kind of royal dish of chicken. Lot of ingredients are used to cook it rich taste. This is majorly cooked in butter to get the fine smooth taste.

Murgh Makhani

Here is the list of ingredients needed

Marination Ingredients

  • 1 kg boneless chicken Pieces
  • 1 Tea spoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 Table spoon sour Curd
  • 4 Tea spoon Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 Table spoon lemon juice
  • 1 Tea spoon Cumin Powder
  • 1 finely chopped Onion
  • 1 Tea spoon Red Chilli Powder
  • Edible Colour Orange

Gravy Ingredients

  • 3 large tomatoes chopped
  • 5Table spoon Butter
  • 1 Table sp Fresh Cream
  • 1 Tea spoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 Tea spoon Cumin Powder
  • 1 Tea spoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 Tea spoon Black Pepper Powder
  • 2 Tea spoon Ginger finely chopped
  • 2 Tea spoon Green Chilly finely chopped
  • sugar to taste

Process to Cook Murgh Makhani Chicken

Take metal bowl and put the chicken pieces in it. Add all the marination ingredients in it and mix it well with chicken. Let this marinate for at least 3 hours or so.Take a thick base pan and heat 3 table spoon of butter in it. Add the marinated chicken in it and fry it for few minutes so that butter mixes good with chicken. Now let the chicken cook in low flame, make sure you stir it every few minutes.

Take a tadka pan and heat the remaining butter in it. Add the ingredients red chili, coriander, cumin, pepper and give a good saute. Now fry this with chopped tomato, sugar till the time you don’t see the thick paste.

Once this is done add the chicken in it with chopped ginger and green chillies. Cover the content with lid and cook it again for 15 minutes in low flame.

Before serving garnish it with butter and fresh cream and finely chopped coriander leaves.
