Aloo Choley Dish – With A Smooth Touch of Butter

Aloo Choley is quite popular dish of Indians. It’s healthy because of Chana rich of proteins. Also here Aloo or the potato is going to add taste to Choley.

It goes best with Maida Puri and Onion for bitting.

List of Ingredients:

  • 12 hour soaked Kabuli Chana
  • 3 Table spoon Oil
  • 1 Table spoon Butter
  • 2 boiled Also pieces
  • 2 Chopped Onions
  • Long sliced Ginger
  • Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 2 sliced Tomato
  • 3-4 Slicec Green Chilly
  • Choley Masala
  • Garam Masala
  • Vinegar or Lemon Juice
  • Turmeric Powder
  • Red Chilly Powder
  • Finely Chopped Coriander

Process to cook Aloo Choley:

Note: You need to soft boil the potatoes and Choley separately.

Take a pan and heat it with 3 table spoon of oil. Once oil is heated well add the chopped onions in it. Please saute the onions till its golden colored. Now add the ginger garlic paste and stir it for few minutes. The raw smell of paste should be gone by this time.

Now add the turmeric powder and salt and mix it well. Here you need to add the chopped tomatoes and green chilies. Stir it for few minutes. After that add Choley masala, red chilly powder and mix the content well enough. You will get a raw masala for choley dish. You can now pour 1 tea spoon lemon juice or vinegar into this mixture. Now add the boiled Chana into this mixture and little water.

Let the prepared content cook in low flame for 10-12 minutes. Once this is done you can than add the boiled potatoes in it. By now you will see good thick gravy of Aloo Choley, for more spicy touch here you can add the sliced green chilies.

Just add 1 table spoon of butter to this hot Aloo Choley, which will give you rich smoothing taste of butter with spicy masala.

It goes best with Maida Puri and Onion and Pickle as side dish. Please try it, we are sure you would love this different type of Choley.
